In 2020, Ranjitha married Darshan, but in 2021, her father Venkatesh claims she found the truth around Darshan’s involvement in wagering. In his complaint, Venkatesh charges that his daughter was under extreme stress due to harassment by creditors, eventually leading to her suicide. He identified 13 men who supposedly loaned the money. According to Venkatesh, his son-in-law was coerced into betting with the guarantee of easy cash. In spite of Darshan’s initial hesitance, the suspects supposedly forced him, offering monetary support for his wagering endeavors in exchange for blank checks as security. Police examinations uncovered a suicide note in which Ranjitha detailed the harassment they endured. Darshan and Ranjitha leave behind a two-year-old child.
