An 18-year-old Israeli woman, Noga Weiss, endured a harrowing 50-day abduction ordeal after being seized from her home in Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7. Recounting her experience, she revealed chilling details of her captivity, including a Hamas captor’s desire to marry her and have children against her will.

Thousands of Hamas militants invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, resulting in chaos and tragedy for Noga Weiss and her family. Her father, Ilan Weiss, was killed during the invasion, leaving Noga and her mother, Shiri, vulnerable to abduction. The militants, armed and dangerous, stormed their homes, firing shots and ultimately kidnapping both mother and daughter.

Noga Weiss described the traumatic moments of her abduction, including her mother’s desperate attempt to protect her. Despite their efforts, both were taken to Gaza, where they endured captivity. However, a glimmer of hope emerged when Shiri Weiss was reunited with her daughter after several days, offering a brief reprieve from the overwhelming fear and uncertainty.

Noga Weiss endured unimaginable fear and uncertainty during her 50-day captivity, constantly facing the threat of violence and death. She highlighted the psychological toll of her ordeal, expressing her inability to mourn her father while hostages remain in captivity. The grim conditions of their confinement, including limited water and the constant fear of sudden violence, underscored the inhumane nature of their captors’ actions.
