Fans of science fiction horror, unite! The internet has been aflutter with rumors of a third entry in the legendary Alien vs. Predator series, like a Xenomorph in a ventilation shaft. The title? Predator vs. Alien 3: Retribution.

Will Smith join the fray?

The legendary actor is featured in a teaser trailer that has gone viral, it appears to be a skillfully produced fan production that intercuts clips from Will Smith films with scenes from the Alien and Predator universes.

Back to Space?

The filmmakers of Alien vs. Predator: Requiem (2007), The Brothers Strause, have indicated that they would like to revisit the franchise, ideally returning to the extraterrestrial origins of the narrative.

Whispers on the Wind? 

Producer of Predator John Davis has made vague allusions to a possible revival of the series, maybe emphasizing a genesis tale or a contemporary reworking.

Retribution: Real or Reel?

As of today, there’s no official confirmation of Alien vs Predator 3: Retribution.  But the buzz surrounding the possibility is a good sign that the appetite for this gory, action-packed mashup is still strong.
