On Hold: “Euphoria” Season 3 Faces Delays, but Hope Remains

Recently, HBO announced that filming for season 3 of “Euphoria” has been postponed as per the producer’s demands, who want all the seasons, including the upcoming one, to be perfect before the start of production. The spokesman added that the break helped the crew, comprising high-profile artists like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Hunter Schafer, make enough time to participate in other projects while scripts for the next season were being worked on. These rumors were then further fanned by the news about the potential cancellation of Season 3.

The lengthy delay in production can be due to various events, like the writers’ strike and the unfortunate demise of Angus Cloud, who played the character ‘Fez’. Moreover, the increasing fame of the actors has caused greater problems for the production team trying to arrange the timetable. The release of season 3 of the show in 2025 has been postponed, which has resulted in some rumors of the plot taking a significant time jump, such as two or three years.

Euphoria is an Emmy-winning show that was acclaimed and disapproved because of its screen-reality of teenage life. It has seen issues of drug abuse and romantic themes, making it one of the top programs on television. Zendaya has become the winner of two Emmys for the show in which she is portraying Rue, a teenager addicted to drugs who is trying to escape that world and recover her connection with the real world. Even though the series was a huge success, it received criticism from some viewers who considered the sex scenes and drug use to be too much and were thus even more thrilled to discover the reason behind the show’s delay.
