Season 1: Puns & Villainy
MultiVersus launches with Season 1: Puns & Villainy, introducing new playable fighters. The Joker, Jason Voorhees, and Banana Guard join the roster, with Agent Smith set to arrive later in the season. But that’s not all—the game also features an all-new PvE (Player vs. Environment) mode called Rifts. In Rifts, players experience unexpected twists and challenges outside of competitive PvP matches. The game’s vibrant battles take place in reimagined environments inspired by popular animated series like Dexter’s Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls.
Cross-Play and Cross-Progression
MultiVersus supports full cross-play and cross-progression across platforms. Whether you’re on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC (via Steam or Epic Games Store), you can team up with friends and face off against opponents from different systems. The seamless experience ensures that players can enjoy the game regardless of their preferred platform.
A Dream Project Realized
Tony Huynh, Co-Founder and Game Director at Player First Games, expressed excitement about the project: “With such a deep roster of beloved characters, we’ve made sure to put a ton of care into every fighter, making each feel special in the way they look and feel, as well as their unique move set and combat mechanics. And with our PvE mode, Rifts, now in addition to PvP, we have more ways to play MultiVersus, coupled with our tailor-made rollback netcode to support online gameplay, making it easier for all players to enjoy a seamless experience” .
So, whether you’re a fan of DC villains, classic cartoons, or interdimensional shenanigans, MultiVersus invites you to collide with the stars and let the pies fly
